On May 10, 2024, Vakoms received the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certificate. Certification body CERTSYSTEMS confirmed that Vakoms comprehensively approaches information management and complies with the highest international standards for IT security.
Pavlo Pelekh, CEO of Vakoms, stated: “We’ve put a lot of effort into streamlining our processes to achieve this certification. I’m sure our clients will appreciate our commitment to their information security. We are so happy and proud to be compliant and I am extremely thankful to the team involved in the preparation for ISO certification.”
ISO 27001 is an international standard for information security management systems. It sets criteria for establishing, implementing, and improving an organization’s information security management. The certification confirms that the organization manages sensitive information responsibly.
The standard regulates various aspects of information management, including
Information security policy
HR security
Asset management and control
Physical and environmental security
Operational and communicational security
Information security incident management, etc.
An important aspect is that ISO 27001 promotes continual improvement. It means that the certified company will go through regular reviews and audits to ensure its compliance with new security standards and adaptation to new threats.
Vakoms is already planning to start preparing for ISO 9001 certification — a globally recognized standard for quality management. The standard sets requirements for meeting customer expectations and improving organizational performance.
